‘Tulips’ Floral Linocut Art Print

The print is in lovely, vivid Lapis Blue, which is a seasonal trend colour at the moment: not too hot, not too cold. This original linocut print is inspired both by my love for Delft Pottery, and for tulips. The beautiful stylised representation is created from an original hand-drawn illustration of tulips in a delft blue beer mug with images of a windmill and canal, and evokes a real sense of place and memory of the Dutch landscape. The contrast of smooth white paper with the fresh blue makes the image pop out. Intricate fine carving in the design bring the flowers to life.

Blue is considered regenerative. It also compliments any interior scheme, whether white, caramel, beige, brown or pale yellow.

Each print in this series is limited edition, which means that only a certain number have been and ever will be printed. It will be signed, numbered and titled by the artist.

There is a generous margin around the image for framing. The square shape of the print gives it a balanced look, which can fit on any wall, and complement any space in the home.

The print can be gift wrapped for free in beautiful acid- free tissue paper so that it is ready to be given as a gift. If ordered unframed, the print will be sent flat-packed with a sturdy backing, and if framed it will be posted in a secure box so that it arrives in perfect condition.

Minor variations occur during the printmaking process as the plate is inked each time for individual prints, thereby making each print in the edition unique and original. All our designs are printed with permanent environmentally friendly, oil-based inks on acid free smooth printing paper. This will fit most standard off-the-shelf frames, but a framing option is available if you so wish. The frame is flat white, in wood, giving it a light airy feel and will suit most interior schemes.

The main image size is appx 11 x 11 cm, and is printed on a 20 x 20 cm paper with an adequate margin for framing. The frames are appox 20 x 20 cm in size.
