Linocut ‘The Owl And the Pussycat’

Regular price £45.00

A charming handmade linocut illustration based on an original design inspired by the poem of the same name, perfect for a nursery.

Quirky and whimsical, this will make the perfect new baby gift, a present to new parents for a Christening, a wedding present for that special couple, or an anniversary gift.

I have always been fascinated by this tale of love, evoking a nostalgic image of an old-fashioned romance, while being quirky and whimsical at the same time. A perfect combination! What could be more romantic than dining on mince and dancing by the moon?

"And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,

They danced by the light of the moon,

The moon, The moon,

They danced by the light of the moon."

In beautiful sea-green colour, it really complements the nautical design of the sea and the waves. This colour really stands out against the smooth white paper and brings the intricate details of the design in focus.

It is one of our most popular designs, and was selected to be published in Mascot Media's book 'The Elegant Fowl'.

The print can be gift wrapped for free in beautiful acid- free gold or black tissue paper so that it is ready to be given as a gift, and a handwritten handprinted tag can be enclosed, if requested. If ordering unframed, the print will be sent flat-packed with a sturdy mountboard backing, and, if framed, it will be posted in a secure box so that it arrives in perfect condition.

This is a limited edition print, and each print will be signed, numbered and titled by the artist.
